Ideally suited to anyone looking to start a successful career in project management, or anyone working in or with project teams.  The ICPM is the first step to becoming a project professional and covers key principles of project management, methods and common terminology.

On completion, candidates will be able to take an active part in a project team and make a positive contribution to any project environment.

The course takes place over two consecutive days with a 1 hour exam on the second day.  Topics include:

  • Projects, their context and purpose

  • Project life cycle, main phases and gate reviews

  • Business case, benefits management and success criteria

  • Project management plan, scope definition, scheduling and resource management

  • Stakeholder and communication management

  • Leadership and teamwork

  • Quality, risk and change control

  • Project control, handover and closeout
