This assessment is internationally recognised as IPMA Level C - 'Project Manager'.

 

The PQ assessment provides external evidence of a candidate's ability to manage a non-complex project or key areas of a large scale project.  It is for individuals with at least three years experience in responsible leadership functions.

During the assessment candidates are examined against 30 core project management competences through individual and group activities around a case study.  In addition they are assessed against 8 behaviour characteristics essential to effective project management.

Candidates carry out three types of activity during the assessment:

Individual work: written answers to questions based on the case study and  an issue in project management. 

Group work: exercises in

 order to discuss and solve problems related to the case study.

Interviews: on an individual basis.

Results and feedback against assessment criteria are provided to enable candidates to continue professional development.
