- Project Risk Management Workshops

Project risk management is fundamentally about improving the chance of project success through robust planning and effective actions.  As projects have become more complex, and uncertainties affecting projects have increased, a greater emphasis has being placed on taking specific actions to control risks.  Our risk management trainers have significant experience in both research into risk management and delivery of effective training solutions, mainly in hands-on workshop formats.  Today we provide training through three workshops, each aimed at a different team player in typical projects.  Each workshop uses realistic cases as a vehicle for learning about risk and risk management in projects and is supported by comprehensive material.

The workshops:

  • RM Principles (1 day)

  • RM Practitioner (2 day)

  • Project Risk Manager (3 day)

RM Principles: an introduction to risk management.  This workshop is suitable for anyone working in a project team and covers risk management terms, process and methods.  The workshop includes interactive briefings, group exercises using case studies and discussion.

RM Practitioner: the risk management process and supporting methods.  A workshop for project team leaders responsible for risk management.  Provides 'hands on' practice in risk management methods using a realistic case study and includes an overview of the Monte Carlo technique.

Project Risk Manager: development of a robust project risk management strategy, managing organisational and contextual interfaces, implementing governance of risk management, day to day monitoring and control, and managing behavioural aspects affecting the management of project risk.  A workshop for those responsible for defining and managing the project risk management strategy.
